Join Ken Phillips, Executive Director, Independent Contractors Australia (ICA) at the WA Club on 22 February (7.00am – 9.00 am) for a Breakfast Briefing and Q & A on this new WA Construction Code to learn what it is, the compliance issues and its likely impact.

The event will provide key details on the code with a particular emphasis on compliance by and to subcontractors.

This Code of Conduct will cover all major State contracts worth more than $10 million.  It has been designed to prevent anti competitive behaviour, improve workplace safety and ensure subcontractors are paid on time.

The breakfast is designed to bring the code to the attention of the construction industry and lawyers and business managers who may have a need to ensure compliance.

“I don’t think people in the industry, either the construction industry or the development industry, have a remote comprehension of the potential impact of this”
