On the 7th of October 2018, Belmont Business Enterprise Centre Inc. (Belmont BEC) was awarded the Best Metro Business Enterprise Centre in Australia. Chairperson of BEC Australia John Todd presented the prestigious award to Carol Hanlon at the BEC Australia Forum in Canberra. The Forum brought together small business advisors from across Australia for an opportunity to network, learn, discuss and celebrate their work in assisting small business intenders and owners.
Belmont BEC was established in 1994 with Carol Hanlon as Founding Manager. The Belmont BEC is a non-profit community based organisation that assists in the growth and development of small business. Over the years it has originated a large range of well known projects and programs for the benefit of its small business clients that have included Small Business Awards, Belmont Clothes Library, TCF WA, Designedge Innovation Festival, BPW Business Incubator, Multicultural Business Support Services, WA Racing Industry Project. Belmont BEC is also an industry specialist on creative industry, fashion and TCFL industries.

On October 24th we are hosting our 25th Anniversary Belmont & Western Australian Small Business Awards where over 26 WA small businesses will be announced category winners, hosted at the Ballroom, Perth Exhibition Convention Centre with 350 attending.
In 2019, Carol will be co-ordinating the Women Economic Forum, 5-7 July at the prestigious Curtin University, a global forum providing an opportunity for women leaders from around the globe and all industry sectors to present on a range of topics from the UN sustainable development goals, women’s economic development and current issues affecting women and girls.
