UnionsWA Secretary Meredith Hammat wants 26 weeks’ full pay for primary carers to be included in the National Employment Standards to reflect the importance of caring for children.
She also wants employers to make ongoing superannuation contributions during the paid leave to address the retirement savings shortfall commonly incurred by women.
