Small businesses come together for first expo

WEB wizard Ronald Colijn helped bring entrepreneurs together for the first small business expo in the Hills. The Stoneville resident saw an opportunity to network and offer a one-stop shop to local services after launching his website and social media training business four months ago.

“I thought it would be nice to meet other people and find out what is available locally,” he said.

“I soon discovered there are many small businesses in the Hills and the idea for a community-based event grew through networking.”

More than 24 businesses had a stall in Parkerville Hall last Saturday.

Mr Colijn said the cross-section of small businesses included health and wellbeing, pets and produce, home design and gardening ‘and some clever digital companies to boot’.

There was a networking session in the morning and the Mundaring Chamber of Commerce, Shire of Mundaring and Bendigo Bank supported the event.
